About a month and a half ago I contacted StainlessWorks to see if they were looking for an 18 Mustang GT for R&D. It turns out they were! They had my car for about a month but it was well worth the wait. The exhaust is an active H-pipe cat back with quad tips. Its a 3 inch stainless steel sytem with quad angle walled slashed tips. Very high quality, and I am super happy with how it sounds and looks! It has a similar tone to the factory active exhaust except for it is deeper and i would say about 10 decibal’s louder on every sound mode. The fit and finish is percfect and i must say it is a very quality exhaust! The guys over at StainlessWorks knocked it out of the park and the experience I had with them was a good one to say the least. I think they will be offering this cat back with either a H or an X pipe but as stated before mine has the H. The exhaust systems should be available in about a month or two and they will have a video of what it sounds like but in the mean time here’s the video I took today using my gopro hero 4. If you have any questions or want to preorder this setup contact StainlessWorks and ask for Jason Snyder. He was great to work with and can help out with anything you need.

How is it controlled and where did you place the controller? Or, does it use dormant Ford Active Exhaust controls?

It uses the factory ford exhaust valves. You control quiet, normal, sport and track through the steering wheel just like when the stock active exhaust is on. For this setup you have to have active exhaust from the factory, its not like the Roush setup where you get an aftermarket controller and place it next to the shift knob

What mode was that? Cause frankly sounds almost the same as my h-pipe equipped stock catback. Mines more 'throaty'.

All modes, normal and sport sound the same, quiet and track are the most notable difference especially at wot

Wow it really did sound identical to stock but a bit louder. Obviously the video doesn’t do the volume justice.
