This from Mustang Manny (Gaudin Ford) on Facebook. As one of the bigger Mustang dealers around, his info is usually good!

Doesn't state if those are annual figures though. Over 5 years, I'd hope they are!

Production numbers for the 2016 GT350 have been released.
5,000 GT350
500 GT350 R
Ford plans on making it a 5 year run.

Just to shed some light here TT, those should be annual numbers. Ford is required to build and sell 500 units minimum per year for homologation.

5000 a year is about where the GT500 was. More built than the Boss 302.

Must admit, he did reference the 2016 GT350, so that would make sense :)

Five year run, if true, will help with the ADM game.

Why would anyone pay ADM with those production numbers?

5500 a year total...is not many but it will not stop them from trying at first. 500 "R"s is not many...about 10% of all GT350's will be "R"s...I was guessing 20%..oh well , now lets see where pricing comes in...This worries me....Im thinking there will be a big swing in pricing from the GT350 and the "R"....JMO

Remember that someone from Ford stated that the price difference between a GT350 and a GT350R would be less than the difference between a well equipped GT and a GT350.

Okay and that is about how much? 5K 10K 15K...??? assuming 53K for a base GT350

Same thing with the GT500. They have 4k annual units and when they first hit the streets, ADM will be charged. Some folks will pay it regardless and not shop around.

Nice to see a 5yr run.

No offence in anyway meant to Manny, but where did he get this info? I know he works for a Ford dealer in NV. However I called my very talkative source and he said he has heard nothing yet. Just wondering... I spoke with Manny recently (today) and he told me that the 500 "R" versions would be allocated based on past sales of Mustangs (has anyone read, or heard this?)....well my source said that when the ordering opens up you can choose either a base GT 350 or the option "R"(if you are willing to part with the extra cash) but Manny said that every dealer that filled out the application will be guaranteed 1 GT350 (not 1 "R" version) Again going back to my source, is that if theoretically everyone ordered a "R" version (not going to happen I know) but when the ordering bank show more than the allotment sold then (500, if this is the number) ordering would close out on the "R". This to me makes more sense. The LS BOSS 302 was limited but really anyone could of order it if they had the cash. It would seem that the "R" version would be the same...when it comes down to signing on the dotted line and there is 12-15K difference between the 2 even if you had the extra cash in the bank, you are going to think twice, unless you are; just a down right track guy or a sucker for the best of the best kinda guy. (Lm the latter...lol)
Anyone have any ideas?

From my understanding, the Rs have a completely separate allocation process. The guaranteed allocation from signing up is for a GT350 and not an R. Many dealers will not get Rs.

WTF, looks like he pulled it from his Facebook. All it says now is "Can't wait to see these in our showroom!" I have a contact at that dealership who I e-mailed to see if they know what's going on.
