I really enjoy the Shaker Pro system. I played around with the setting and finally got to where I want my audio to sound like. The default Fade setting made the sound to be front heavy so I adjusted it pass the driver/front passenger so now the bass is coming from the back.

Where did you adjust your Fade setting in your car?

I rolled mine toward the back when I first got the car because I thought the sub wasn't loud enough but ended up putting it back in the center and making other adjustments
when I realized how much it was reducing the overall volume and sound quality.

I am an old car audio guy. used to be an IASCA judge back in the day (and MECP installer). 80's and early 90's.

The dash should be the "stage". You want the sound to come from the front, like you are watching a concert in front of you. Rear speakers when we designed systems were for a small fill, and one of the first things to go when budgets were tight.

In regards to the "bass coming from the back", you are doing it wrong :) . True sub bass (below 60-80hz) in no directional. That's why you can stick a sub in the trunk and it sounds fine. You are hearing "mid bass" (70-140hz), and you are localizing it to the back because your fade is too rear biased.

The stock premium system does a pretty decent job of sound stage and stereo separation FOR A STOCK SYSTEM. Just center the fade and balence, leave off the dsp, and set treble and bass to taste.
