Hey guys, im trying to port my speakers through the rear deck, and move the current ones inward, and was wondering if cutting out this metal piece would have any problems?

If you are referring to the very large perforated horizontal piece of metal, I’m pretty sure that is structural and ties the L and R side of the body shell together.

If you are referring to something else in that pic, hard to say since the pic is dark.

I love heavy customization but I think thats a little far, i wouldnt attempt it.

Just run front speakers and forget the rears. Its surprising how little they matter. You will probably barely be able to tell with a set of good components up front. Especially if you run a DSP with time alignment.

I just pulled my rear deck speakers out, front stage only now and used the rear deck speaker areas as ports.

If you are talking about porting subs through the rear deck, it's not necessary from an audio perspective... the only reason I would do this would be to save some floor space in the trunk by getting the subs up under the rear deck.

Do not cut that out!!!! That is structural.

I wonder if any Ford engineers ever see shit like this and shake their head?

accidentally uploaded the unedited pic, im talking about these little pieces that hang down from the large beam, i built a box but that kinda complicates things.

Oh yeah, cut those all you want lol. I also thought I may have to cut those tabs off but didn't end up needing the space as the back seat opening is shorter than that anyway.
