January.

It's easy to see why the road toll is soaring.

I do enjoy you’re monthly dash cam updates Drewbo:thumbsup::lol:
But I’ve come to the following conclusion:D:D

The population of Aus is give or take 24m
The population of U.K. is give or take 65m

You have over 2.9m square miles to play in, we only have 94000 sq miles..

Based on the formula I used for population per sq mile.... you have more fuckwit drivers than we do:lol::lol:

Although we have more than our fair share:lol::ford:

I have no doubt that you're 100% right on that one @Enoch .

There is a very strong entitlement syndrome in this country that has permeated, among many other things, driving attitudes.

Arseholes are everywhere (whom are easily identifiable once they hit the road).

^^^ Totally agree with that. The worst area in Sydney I’ve come across is the Woodville Road. I have to travel on it from the M4 Church St off ramp to pick my wife up from work.

The driving on it is dangerous at best, kamikaze at worst. Very little courtesy shown and hardly any police presence.

Not just Woodville Rd, the whole area from Merrylands on south. Not sure exactly how far as I don't go south of Villawood, where I work, often. Frankly it's insane and the whole reason I adopted a dashcam.

whole of sydney is frankly full of arseholes.. not sure how those commercial vehicle drivers are able to keep their license/jobs. HC/taxi/bus are all equally as bad as normal drivers.. their time is more important than other people's safety.

Doing the rounds today.

NSFW.

Words fail me......this is an example of who you are sharing the road with.

Also, Thinkware F770 owners - firmware version 1.00.08 is now available for download.

Remember not to upgrade with the supplied Thinkware microSD card in order to avoid the possibility of bricking your camera.

Yes, I have an 800 Pro. I had a 770 in my last car.

Very happy with the 800. There is improvement in IQ. Also, the firmware upgrade process is easy via the app over wifi - no need to download onto the card and then install.

If I still had the 770 I wouldn't bother upgrading to the 800

How have you found the rattles? Im on my 2nd 770, due to buttons rattling when going over bumps. The replacement was good at the start, but with the car sitting in the sun whilst at work, I fear the heat is making the buttons rattle again.

Also what memory card/s are you using? Any compatibility issues with aftermarket ones, if using them?

No issues with rattles with my 800 Pro. Also didn't have any issues with the 770

I decided to bite the bullet and went with a Thinkware memory card. I know they're expensive but both Thinkware and Blackvue owners do report issues with some 3rd party cards. I did a fair bit of reading into it and couldn't rule out that there's some sneaky business going on to tie you to OEM memory cards, so I just bit the bullet.

I ended up repairing my F770 rattle myself.

The rattle is caused entirely by the way the buttons are fixed to the case. they are all connected together with filaments of plastic to make it a single component which in turn is plastic welded to the case at not enough points by the looks of it. So some of the buttons are able to vibrate with the roughness of the road your traveling on.

I ''glued' them all to the case with silicone, has just enough flexibility to allow the buttons to still operate while eliminating any potential vibrations.
