Is it ECOBOOST or V6...funny plate

I saw this guy in front of me commuting to work today. He merged over and I tried to say hi but it didn't look like he was interested.

Yea V6 has the metal strip in the middle and the eco is just the horse.

Might have had 100k under the hood of that car.

Damn it took me like 5 min to figure that plate out. Gotta stop putting IPA in my cereal.

BTW: He must be packing something extra under the hood to be that in you face from the back.

Who can say with certainty that guy doesn’t really have a GT with a V6 style trim panel...

If you google the plate there is a guy in Nevada with one on a GT500 but actually spells slow) and others on Ferrari’s,etc...

Pretty sure they didnt offer the blade spoiler on the GT. I could be wrong. But with the blade spoiler and rear pony badge with tribars, it would be awfully odd to not be a V6.

Well, the Ford GT has a V6 in it...;)

Speaking of which, I wonder if anyone actually has put a Ford GT engine in a 'Stang. Not that there would be a whole lot of extra genuine Ford GT engines hanging around. But that doesn't mean that someone couldn't build up a reasonable facsimile of one. Hennessey built a 605hp twin turbo v6 for the Velociraptor. I wonder if you could fit one of those in...
I started thinking about it and did a little InterGoogle research. It looks like a place called SuperSixMotorsports has been developing a kit that will adapt the 3.5L EcoBoost engine twin turbos to the 3.7L V6. There is actually a Mustang running around with one of these engines in it. I think "ThatDudeInBlue" said the thing made 410hp & 460 lb-ft. You can see it here:

There's also the JM Performance twin turbos that have a dyno at 570/500 on E85. Not quite 605, but pretty close!

If I had a GT the first thing I'd do it change that rear deck to a the horse. The GT just seem so in your face, the Horse seem so much more "Mustang". You never know with all these weird people out there(yes us). But I bet he's also got some 99 cobra emblems on the side to!

Pretty sure that is a V6 with that bar down the middle. I wouldn't of gone with that license plate on a V6 though maybe he is pro-charged?

Seriously doubt it has any significant power upgrades. It looks like it's rollin on 235's. Some people just really are delirious about their car. They will literally think and say dumb shit like "the numbers say the GT is faster but it's not. They just couldn't tell the truth about what the 3.7 can do!" I used to hear crap like that all the time back in my high school days.
