Wavy rocker panel below door

Praise the search feature. I was installing jacking rails yesterday and saw some serious waves in the rocker panel moldings on my 2017. I don't recall having this issue on my 2016, but I can't say I ever tried viewing the rockers from this angle. Seems like there's some that report this issue and some that don't have it. I don't know if this is a warranty issue, and think that even if it were, a replacements paint may not match completely. I suppose I'll just bite my tongue on this one.

Here's a pic. Look at how the light shows the rocker molding wave out then back in. It's like this on both sides and goes the entire door length.

Take it to the dealer so they can tell you what they told me when I complained about my back window being crooked....."It's not a BMW you know"....said the Fixed Operations Manager.
