Stick with the centri. Low 9's on JT has been done several times. Block is the next issue.

Turbo will require boost controller and 2 step at a bare minimum. Also doesn't hellion require valve springs??
From what I understand only the LPF kit creates the need for valve springs early on due to back pressure and waste gate placement..

This is from lund also. 16 psi+ will get float. I would change them if you go turbo.

Being that its a turbo setup i knew power would fall off at 6500 with the stock manifold so i told him to stop it around 7000 so no reason to ring it out for just numbers when it peaks at 6500. It was tuned on street logs to 7600 so its solid. No we think its a little bit of valve float since iv been boosted for over a year and the stock springs are a little “tired” if thats what you want to call it. But timing is solid.

Ok well I would try to keep stock motor alive for long as possible probably wouldn't ever go past 12-14psi.

Does anyone have the Hellion Install guide link or in like a .PDF or something? Cant find it, I know it would be a while before I did all this but wanted to familiarize myself while im bored @ work.

16 psi seems to be a magic number. Its also about the minimum to run a 8 second pass. I ran into float at 17 psi. I swapped mine and even at 8 psi it hits harder now. The problem is they will progressively get worse over time.

When does your car hit full boost on the 62s?

About 3700. I would go with bigger turbos vs smaller. The spool time is not much different and also helps with back pressure if you are close.

id you change them yourself. I wouldn't think it would be that har to change them if you don't have to set them up with shims and all.

I did. I changed them with the cams in. I would not do it that way again. It took me 14 hours. If you are comfortable pulling cams it would take much less time. I was so pissed it was part of my build i totally spaced when i put the built motor in. I could have swapped them on the engine stand.

I would be comfortable pulling cams and changing springs as long as I didn't have to deal with shimming and installed height. Are you happy with turbos? What forced induction would you buy now if you have to choose?
