I worked for them in Romania for over 6 years, and everyone there pronounces it Dat-Chya

I will always go with that, as I think they know best how to pronounce their own brand name.

The car company was named after the historical kingdom in which it is based.

This kingdom covered an area that now encompasses the present-day countries of Romania and Moldova, as well as parts of Ukraine, Eastern Serbia, Northern Bulgaria, Slovakia, Hungary and Southern Poland.

In the car trade back in the old days 80s they only had the Dacia Duster a really nasty thing known in the trade as a Dacia dustbin cos it was alliterative. To us old boys twill always be a Day Cee Arr.:lol:

Well having met him (May) several times, then yes he can be quite ignorant at times.
