Subtle Tinking metal noise when rev in low rpm
whether in neutral or first from a stop. Only
mods are corsa extreme catback. Can hear from
under middle to back of car. Don’t have a place
to upload a video to. 2017 BaseGT Any ideas?

Is your exhaust tightened up properly all the way back? Could be a slight leak somewhere along the way causing the noise.

Check for loose items in your spare tire well. I had the exact issue and it drove me crazy. Found the problem under the trunk mat.

No spare or anything in the trunk...I wanna say it is "almost" a creaking nose but increases with rev even in neutral...after that can't hear with the corsa extremes lol

Are you talking about the Coyote Tick? Do you hear it more when next to a wall while idling? Did this start not long (or right) after an oil change?

Can't hear it at idle...only when beginning to press the gas pedal...not a steady tick...but was right after an oil change that I noticed it...could have been there before...

Not sure about that one, then. The Coyote Tick is a steady light ticking sound at idle. It comes from the front passenger side of the engine, where the cams are. It goes away when RPMs ride above about 1100 or so.

i have noticed this too - from what I have read on here it appears to be both common and harmless. Not that worried about it tbh - just sounds like some metal expanding/contracting. Happens at low RPM's when i press the gas, could be the increased hot exhaust gasses flowing through the exhaust/cats? not sure.

I was thinking cats too
Mine does the same too. I have 10K miles on mine. Just did the second oil change with PP Ultra 5w-20. The ticking goes away at idle once I have driven the car but it is loud when the engine is still warming up to operating temp. Once warmed, I dont hear it at idle but only a bit if I tap the gas pedal. Nothing at higher RPMs like 1500 or 2000 etc.

I honestly feel like the car is gonna fall apart any minute :/ I have owned many cars but none have made the sounds this Mustang makes and I worry especially after hearing all the stories about people having issues with piston slap etc etc.

This is like the bbq tick. Try driving next to a wall, it will be louder while driving. For me, it started after the 1st oil change and remained until I got rid of the car.
