WTB Cowl Extension Brace

Hey if anyone is looking to sell their C brace PM me. I'm in Hudson County in New Jersey.

Still looking for one. And I am willing to drive for a reasonable distance.

Are you looking for the smaller cowl brace or the larger 'k' brace?

I finally have everything on hand to do the K braces and smaller brace on my car. The smaller brace can be purchased brand new for @$50.

I'm looking for the brace that comes with the ford performance strut brace. The one that attaches to the firewall and then to the strut mounts. Maybe I'm not calling it right.

Do you have a link for the smaller brace, I'm not familiar with it.

Okay the brace that comes with the strut tower brace is usually referred to as the 'K' brace. It's the long brace goes strut tower to strut tower.

The smaller brace is usually called the cowl extension. It essentially ties to the larger K brace to the cowl of the car and replaces what is usually a plastic piece on non PP cars.

If you are installing on a V6 car - like I am...

You'll need 3 of these (you will remove several you already have which will be reused)
W717964-S450B Cowl Top Panel Bolt

And 4 of these (nylock nuts for where it bolts to the strut tower)
W712334-S440 Front Mount Retainer Nut

Yeah I'm looking for the K brace. Thanks for the link for the thread. I'm going to do the lower k-brace on my next oil change. I'll probably do the cowl extension eventually.

$80 here instead. I see the other part called firewall extension more on here than cowl extension.

Installed the smaller extension and the K brace tonight. Already had the Steeda 2 point front brace and the Steeda IRS supports. This is worth EVERY penny. Tightens up the front considerably and smooths out transitions and bumps as well.

Still looking for one. Added a picture for clarification.
