How do I know if my car has Traclok? My differential case is leaking so I'm going to go ahead and change out the gear to the 3.55 and rebuilding anything else in there. I have a 2012 V6

Here is what I ordered, did I miss anything?

3.55 Gear Kit- https://www.americanmuscle.com/355-g...-kit-1014.html
Traction Lok Rebuild Kit- https://www.americanmuscle.com/ford-88-traclok-kit.html
Rear Axle Bearing & Seal Kit- https://www.americanmuscle.com/frpp-...-kit-0514.html
Ford Performance Dif. Cover- https://www.americanmuscle.com/frpp-88-diff-cover.html

Not sure if Ford still puts metal tags on rear end housings or uses the same number protocol like the older Mustangs but you can check the tag number and if it has an L in it, for example, a 3.00:1 rear end would have on the tag 3L00, then it is a Traction Lock.

Do a burnout and count the stripes? Then you'll know if you have a LSD. That's the fun way and if you forget the stipes can remind you the next day.

All S550s have limited slip diffs. The 15-17 GT PP and GT350 get a Torsen. All else get trak lock clutch pack. For 18, all GT350, GT PP and EB PP get the torsen regardless of transmission, else the clutch pack.

Jack the car up so both rear wheels are off the ground. Put transmission in neutral. Spin one rear tire and if the other rear tire rotates in the same direction, you have trak-lock. If it rotates in the opposite direction, you have an open diff.
