Is there a chance of a stronger spring being sold? I like the 35 pound spring a lot better than stock, but it’s just a bit more effort than I’d like. Maybe something like 60-80 pounds?

I've apparently been living in a cave because I just discovered this part. I've been driving for 4k miles without the spring since 2015. Ordered.

... a cave I tells ya.

It happens. I listened to Led Zeppelin for a solid decade before discovering "Four Sticks". It was an epic moment, much like it will be when you install this spring. Best part: the spring starts out great and gets an even-better-feel after about 2K miles. Glorious...like Zeppelin.

Any chance of this happening or can the S197 95lb spring fit?

I just put this in my 2015. Honestly I was skeptical at first if it would make a big difference. Ever since I got the car new I hated the way it felt with the stock clutch spring. So I took it out just like everyone else. I been driving the car that way for a long time. Have 25,000 miles on it now.

I can say this after putting this clutch spring back in I like the way it feels now. It's not a huge difference like going factory spring to no spring is. But it still has a really good feel on it.

I also ordered a Steeda trans insert and got to install that next see how that feels.

I picked up a 2018 gt today and it has the most awkward clutch engagement. I've been driving manuals for 18 years and I stalled this car twice today. I feel sorry to those who try to learn how to drive a manual with this car. My first mod will be this spring assembly.

Yea, the Steeda clutch spring is a definite improvement. I think you'll like the clutch action much better after you install it.

don't forget to turn hill-assist off.

or the more appropriate name for it "hold the brakes locked while starting to move slightly to stall out"

why turn "hill-assist" off? Hadn't heard that before...

On the slightest of hills it just holds the brake for a few seconds while you start to move. I can see it being useful in mountains... or San Francisco, but on relatively flat areas it is just a hindrance.

I had a rough time with starts the day I bought mine on two particular highway crossovers that go uphill. I turned hill assist off and the problem disappeared instantly.

Has anyone confirmed the clutch spring on the 2018 is the same as 2015-2017, and this Steeda is still the right spring replacement?
