Saw my first '18 GT in person today. Looks good to me.

I finally saw an '18 today in San Diego driving the opposite way down the coast. It was a black PP. I knew it was an '18 b/c I noticed the '18 front end. Noticed it b/c I actively look at the front ends now b/c I really wanted to see an '18 for fun.;)

For those that can't stand the front end of the '18s, I don't get it. Yes it looks a little bit different but it's hardly noticeable. And I don't know if it's better or worse, just a little different. The black PP looked great to me.

If I was in the market for an '18, the front end/looks of the car would be a nonexistent issue.

I personally love my 18. I get it back Wednesday evening from getting ceramic coating done. Hopefully, it won't rain! It's so crazy how much I miss this car!

I have not seen an 18 in person, but I think it looks good and will probably grow on most folks. I've wanted a Mustang since the 2011's came out but had other priorities. I remember when I first saw a 15 in person and thought the back end was hideous. No way was I going to buy one. Dat booty on my 17 looks gorgeous to me now.

How long does it takes to get the ceramic coating done?

I was not sold on the 18 front end, but having seen it in person now I think it looks better in person than in pictures. I actually prefer it to the 15-17, it has a more aggressive look that fits the demeaner of the car.

This place trips me out man. "I don't understand how someone has a different opinion than others!! OMG"...

Front end definitely looks far better in person. Saw an '18 GT up close for the first time this past weekend at the 24hrs of Daytona. Ford's infield marketing tent had a Magnetic GT sitting there with the 19" wheels, which I'm still not a fan of. The Continental Tires tent also had a green '18 Roush 729 with gold wheels.

Have to admit though, I barely spent any time looking at the Mustang because the Ford tent also had a white GT on display. No ropes around it so of course I was touching it trying to get a sense of what the carbon felt like haha. I knew the cockpit of the GT was small but it's still pretty shocking in person. Even though I had seen the GTLM racer in person back in 2016, the flying buttresses on the production version still had me staring at it from behind for a while. Mighty impressive piece of kit.

Depends on the amount of work for prep/paint correction, but you want it to sit undisturbed for a good 2-3 days at least once the coating is on.
