As we all know the hard plastic in the center is very tacky I decided to swap mine for the soft touch in premium models.. is my part number right? any fitment issues I might run into?

Hi Hizli
I want to do the same thing. Tried the numbers but was told there was nothing in the system that matched. I don't know if it's because the part is not available yet or the numbers wrong. I did try a generic look for the console of an '18 but nothing interior shows up in the Ford parts sites.

Hopefully, someone will figure it out and alert us.

Go to the dealership and feel it before you do, it still feels pretty much the same, the stitches I believe are for looks, dont quote me, I only sat in one or 2 2018's

I just pulled a 2018 Premium GT VIN, looked up the upper console panel (console sold in pieces, not complete - you this is the console panel with the black "leather" with white stitching.... JR3Z*63044E50*AB

It looks better, it's not any softer that I've noticed. I was hoping it would be soft touch like the tops of the door panels, but it's not. It doesn't feel like hard plastic, but it's not "soft".

They seem to call that option “Premium Plus”, it adds more stitched leather trim to the interior.

It's part of the 401a. If you got the digital dash, you got this console. Like I said, it's not soft, but it is an improvement over the regular rock hard plastic.

at 625 bucks I might wait for a few low mile wrecked cars and buy a used one

I am interested in swapping this though, as well as the shit bezel (when I go to a MGW) so I can get rid of the chrome trim and get something that matches the switches better. I would also prefer the "leather" wrap over just bare plastic.

I'll have to sit in one and see how it feels though, Haven't been in a 18 yet.

I wonder if it would look better and be more cost effective to have the regular one wrapped in decent leathe by a reputable upholstery shop? I know a guy, I’ll check and see what feedback he gives me.

That’s definitely the route I’d go! Cheaper in the long run!
