Is the GT350 a cobra?

No it’s not. Never referred to my 17 as a cobra. Called it the Shelby.

I suppose these cars are not a "Cobra" by name. But they basically fit that slot in Fords Mustang market. The fact is that the Shelby name is what helps sell cars and Ford pays for those rights for a reason. I'd still consider mine a cobra becusae of the badging, but i think this discussion is more of how they currently maket the top teir Mustang.

I remember that thread...I think the only indication on the car AND window sticker was the Mustang running horse on the right side of the sticker...I could be wrong...

That's way too easy - the real question is whether a Mustang is a Ford.

The Mustang is the only Ford product that doesn't say "Ford" on it. The GT350 is a Ford, because the Ford logo is on the wheel center caps, but the rest of the lineup doesn't have the Ford logo.

The Mustang doesn't even say Mustang on it anywhere. So is the Mustang even a Mustang? Looks like a Fusion to me........ :lol:

Like others have mentioned, since it's not in the name of the car, I don't consider this a Cobra. My 1996 SVT Cobra, on the other hand, I considered a "Cobra".

Funny, my wife calls my car a Shelby Cobra, but I do not. However, I wouldn't dare trying to correct her. LOL :lol:

It's not a Cobra, but lots of people call it that and I don't correct them. I do like the Cobra name.

Lets put it this way, the GT350/R is more mustang than a Cobra but most certainly it is a GT350/R.

Funny, I always thought, "yeah it's a cobra, it's got friggin cobra badges on it right?". After reading this thread with the logical arguments against it being a cobra, I have to agree. It is not a cobra. I never referred to it as one though. Always call it the Shelby, or the tree fiddy.
