Okay thanks, yeah doing that it's 2k cheaper. The same configuration that was ~43k is now 41k. So the first link you shared was showing me MSRP the whole time, maybe because I wasn't logged into X-plan before. Pricing is more reasonable now knowing what we were all looking at originally was MSRP and not actual X-Plan pricing. Phew.
Even still...

I said it was either this or a 17 white platinum GT premium(found for 31k). I'm going to wait until these turn up on lots to see what royal crimson looks like in person before I give 45k on this.

Expensive, expensive, expensive..!

The base automatic is $28,000. That's going to shoo a lot of people away. If I were shopping today I don't think this Mustang would be my first choice anymore. Curious to see how this plays out.

No way it competes with the Camaro 1LE, Ford isn't going to make the GT as fast as the GT350 (non R) around the track.
I bet the gtpp will come close to competing with it. Let's face it the alpha platform is a great handling platform no two ways around that. The gt does not need to beat it it needs to be close and come in cheaper than the 1le which it might do. Only time will tell. Remember the 1le is about 46k.

I know they are keeping the gt350 in mind but at some point they will discontinue it and I bet 2018 is the last year of it. They need to move onto another halo car and allow the gt to spread it's wings.

What ive learned is if your hell bent on the 10 speed and magna ride consider the '18, other than that get a 17 for 0% for 72 months.

You can't add the magna-ride, even with the PP selection, without adding 301A for $3700. Can't add the active exhaust without adding 301A for $2900.

So much for a Base GT w/PP, active exhaust and magna-ride.

301A, Performance Package, Exhaust, and Magnaride, $45k. This will be the SS 1LE fighter, but still more expensive than the 1LE. It will still be out-tired, no way it competes.

What the fuck. That's obscene.
Why did the PP package ~double in price? If it had included the Magride shocks I could have maybe understood.

So with the proper x-plan site i got

GT, auto, fury orange, 401a, ative exhaust, safe and smart for $44325

or

EB, auto, fury orange, 201a, safe and smart $35482

I love that orange and the new dash and upgraded interior but not sure its worth it. Tons of discounts currently and zero % financing. If I can find a killer deal locally might go for a 2017 GT premium auto. But dont seem to be any grabber blues that match that config within 250 miles of here :(

Considering the price increases I would forgo the auto and stick with a 6 in order to keep the price down some.

Yeah, I guess I was seeing x-plan the whole time and thinking maybe it was actually the MSRP pricing (because it's so stupidly high for x-plan based on the 2017 x-plan pricing). But then I saw the MSRP builder. Shit is super expensive.

I may wait for the discounts now...

The car is going to grow more and more I think as people see it in the wild. And the announced performance speaks for itself.

I was playing with the build configurator for fun, is there no leather option in these anymore? I couldn't find a combo that offered it.

To me, easily the most disappointing thing about the build options is that the digital cluster cannot be purchased individually... As a Texan, I will get close to zero value out of a heated steering wheel. And as much as I love fancy, shmancy new tech, Sync Connect (and just about all remote control programs) seems nearly completely useless.

I wonder if Ford knows there's a lotta people like me who really want the digital cluster and is forcing us to pay for other stuff they don't want in order to get it...?
