2018 GT PP1 Diff Gauge

So i took my car to the dealer for an engine ticking issue. While there
I asked them to check the Diff Temp Gauge as mine is not registering any temp at all.
The dealer answer is that its only meant for the track? Only then does it register.
Now this does not sound logical to me.
Can anyone with the PP! tell me if they get a reading in normal day to day driving?

Mine reads all the time. I do not have the digital display however. I'm preparing to put my other torsen diff in with 4.09 gears. It's from a 17. There's no provision for the sender on that cover. While I could machine the cover the Shelby diff cover is only 120 dollars and has the port for it. It's the same sensor used on the engine. 18 bucks at my local dealer. You might want to see that it is connected properly. Simple plug in.

Is this diff temp gauge a '18 PP only feature?

From what i was told yes it is only on the PPI cars in the event you want to track the car, I found it kinda by mistake then noticed it wasn't working .....

I converted my 16 to the 18 digital dash and even my diff temp gauge works. Yours should work for sure.

Have it selected on my digital display, works fine in daily driving... does take a while to one up to 100 f+

Thanks for all of your input ; Car is still at the dealer for the engine rattle and I pointed out that the gauge should register thanks to this forum. I really appreciate this group and forum.

Price and time to do this?

2018 EB PP w/3.55 Torsen - same as others have responded, the rear diff temp reads all the time.

A couple more pics. This is after a 9 mile drive in 90f temps. Sitting in the driveway for about five minutes after turning it off.

Thanks for all of the responses; dealer stated that it tested fine no codes etc etc however they were told to put the gauge in boiling water and then reinstall . The gauge is now working.
