MDIR track rental Friday Oct 27

Hosting a track rental at Maryland Intl Raceway, $100 a car, gates open at 0900 and we start running around 0930/0945 and we have the track until 1700 (0500 PM); there is a $10 spectator fee that is refunded if you leave the track by 1800 (0600 PM). Bring your own food and drinks as the concession stand will not be open, air is available and race gas will be available in the morning.

Gahh I already missed one track day, really don't want to miss another. Might just be a wandering photographer for this.

Assuming the weather is good, and my car is alive. I will be there. Will work out perfectly, as the FAST group I normally run with is there that weekend.

That is a great deal. Are you only prepping to the 60ft? I would love to join you if my car stays together.

60ft is standard, if we want it further we can but it will be more $$$

My buddy and I are in as well. Hopefully we can make a few 9 second passes.

What pulley are you running to get that kind of HP? Also what boost do you see.

I forget which pulley I have - I think it's the 4.0. At 7500rpm I'm at max blower speed of 64k and making 18.5# or so. My numbers were made in nearly 100* ambient air lol.

Does the air temperature really change dyno numbers? I thought there was a correction factor built in. I am ready to see you try to put all that down through a stick LOL. Sounds like fun.

Can't wait to see these cars run! Hoping for good cool weather

Correction factors can be manually adjusted plus they can only adjust assuming the engine is running optimally in all weather conditions. If the engine is knocking due to excessive temps and pulling timing then that cannot be accurately adjusted with a correction factor.

Talked to MDIR today; as of now we have both lanes, one will be for street tires and the other for DR/slicks, prepped to the 60, it's $1.00 a ft for the DR/slick lane to be prepped further and .50 a ft for the street tire lane.

that is killer. i hope we can get enough to have both lanes. It was nice running some grudge races. Are you close to the 20 needed to get both lanes?

If we are low with Mustang group, I am sure some of the FAST guys would love to get in on the track rental, I can ask around if needed?
