Went for a quick drive. Messed around under the hood, checking things out. Adjusted the hood "stops".

Did we ever figure out what the purpose is of that lanyard tied to the hood vent?
According to a friend at FP, one popped out once in testing and the lanyard was the decided-upon overkill solution.

I like to disassemble things.
The lanyards would have been used anyway. As I mentioned, they were already in place on S550 Mustangs with hood vents.

A screen shot I saved of Hameedi's response to the question regarding lanyard use on the GT350...

Installed the JLT fusebox cover and master cylinder cover. I noticed the master cylinder cover doesn't really seem to fit quite right on the right side. Anyone else who has one noticed any issues?

Yes, my 16 Tech was fine. My 17 R doesn’t fit correctly. I thought I was crazy.

Interesting you guys mentions this. Mine has lost the nut, I assume it's M3 or M4

18" GT350R at Track Night in America at PBIR

Traded in 17' GT350 for 18' GT350R (JR0051) and took it to the track on Tuesday (Track Night in America at PBIR). What a blast! Waiting for the R code was worth it.

How much or what do you need to do to run your car in that ? Interested in doing some road course things now.

Brown Santa delivered my Ford Performance catch can today. Took me forever to get around to ordering it. Installed today.
Just like someone else who installed the passenger side, the hose coming off of the engine into the catch can needs to be installed opposite of the directions. If you install it as pictured in the directions, the flex part kinks and will collapse on itself. Install the other way around as in the attached picture (middle right of pic), all is good. No valves in the hose part to worry about direction of flow, so no issues there.
