33lbs (ish) isn't too bad to set something like this up, if it provides instanatinous power at no sacrifice to the turbo, it's good. obviously anyone with a modded ebm knows it'd need to be "tuned in" but, with all the rumours about the 2020 (Gen6 etc) we could easily see a v6 TT in which one 'T' is electric.

Inb4 E-Boost Mustang, or ElectroBoost Mustang. /Facepalm.

Call the engine the fking Tornado, Typhoon, or some sh1t. (I know cyclones taken) not a fking ecoboost ;)!

I'd guess it's an EFR7163 based on the turbine housing shape. E-booster is already used in production on some diesel cars in Europe. It's basically the small turbo in a compound turbo setup. It also serves the purpose of anti-lag. It only kicks on for a couple seconds at a time (or less probably) to make boost at low engine speeds where the turbo would not spool up.
