nice...

seems to me it is getting in the way of the waste gate ..
see photo in top thread I cut the the shield to hold
blanket closer to the turbo housing a little more so
actuator con move freely. looks great nice job,,,:clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2:

Chef jpd irrelevant question: I remember a while ago, on another thread you said that you installed this small filter on the turbo side after removing the recirculation hose. I know you did this mainly for the looks, but I wonder how efficient this little filter is. Would you use it on the air intake tube after removing the recirc hose instead of the chair leg cap? Do you think it would filter the air efficiently and with no issues? I was thinking of doing that instead of putting it on the turbo side after taking off the recirc hose.

I imagine it would work since there is no air metering pre turbo, only temperature.
Hmmmm, that might look cool with little filters all over the intake.
Sure would confuse the hell out of people.
In your suggested application it would be an intake filter, the way I have it, it filters vented air, absolutely useless, but looks good.

You could also plug it and make it a dummy, looks good and does no harm.

The problem, as Marvinmadman said, is that it would suck hot air from the engine bay.

It shouldn't, since only pressurized air should be coming out of it when the throttle closes and BOV opens.
Any who does it reduce the whooshing sound when the Bov. is open.
