Super niche topic. Has anyone put wheel tape/rimstripes on their wheels?

Was not expecting it to look so sleek to be honest! Could be the size of the wheels, but when I did my old motorcycle it was more noticeable. I almost wonder how it would look here with it going down some of the spokes, but it could be too much at that point.

It is 3m automotive pinstripe tape. Most body shops have it in stock and will sell/give you some. Or, you can buy a roll at almost any auto parts store. It is nothing special. Just make sure the rim is super clean before applying. I had to clean the edge of my rim 3-4 times with alcohol before it would stick.

It's that common that shops will have these? It's pretty rare that I find these on people's cars. Is the pinstripe different than regular 3m pinstripe tape, like..how does it curve around a wheel? Do we not need high heat ones?

Regular 3m pinstripe. In fact, a 10 year old roll of 3m pinstripe. Nothing special. No heat. Make sure rim is clean. Then clean it again.

Ok like, I have to apologize cause I know I must not be getting something, but how can it curve around a wheel when it's a straight piece of tape? Like If I tried to put scotch tape on my lip, wouldn't it be cracked/wrinkly since it's not supposed to curve?

It comes as sections about 9 inches or so.

Oh not those ones, some people get a long roll that isn't precut. I was gonna get one of those as people said less chance of it lifting.

tapeworks.com has a neat tool for laying it down smoothly and continuously, not in many lengths pieced together. It's called the stripe-it-all tool.
