Gloss black 5.0's and leave the poiny chrome, i tried satin, gloss black and wrapping matte, they all looked weird. Mind you this was with a gloss black grille.

Edit oh and tinted rear lights (cough cough i sell a set for £30 ;)!)

Thanks! The more I look at the chrome pony and 5.0 badges the more I'm tempted to leave them, since they do tie in with the exhaust tips... But I've already bought the Plastidip + Glossifier! That stuff is removable at least, so I'll do it and then decide

Absolutely stunning Spoonex! :coolphotos:

FWIW I like the chrome pony as it is - it works well with the white pin stripes, but will look equally good blacked out.

Also - great move on going with wider stripes, the "skinny" stripes look good on the GT350 but wider ones defo suit the standard s550 more IMO

Almost makes we wish I would have gone with race red...Almost.

u might want to wait for warmer weather to try the plastidip, i had a 'mare with it, the stuff just didn't set nicely and then was a bitch to get off.

personally, for the sake of £15 a can of plastidip vs £50 for a new gloss black badge, i'd just buy the new badges and save yourself the hassle. that's me though :)

I’ve used it fair few times with good results, the key is to make sure the cans are warm like you say, and to put on enough coats so it will peel without ripping.

This will be the first time I’ve tried the Glossifier though so that will be interesting. It should help seal in the white vinyl dot I’m planning on the 5.0 while also giving the black a nicer glossy finish.

I’ll tell you how it ends up going though!

Mac knows for sure but if memory serves me right it is 285/35/19 front and a 325/30/19 rear.

He was hoping to run his 315/35/20 as the taller wall is better for traction and gearing, but they catch and if they caught at those speeds it could rip the bumper clean off so he went with 325/30/19 which give less traction due to shorter tyre wall.

Pretty sure he’s on 325s in the rear.

Does anyone know what camber he’s running (is it stock camber from all the work he’s done to it)? Looks amazing whatever he did!

153mph, most of the time I was crossing the beams around 130mph, I preferred to brake early. No way was I waiting until passing the beams and stomping brakes at 190mph, I was too scared, haha. My mate in his GTR with us clocked as high as 197mph but also was hitting brakes before beams hence also under 160mph.

Plus after seeing cars bin it and cause a lot of damage or even written off lets just say we were more cautious than Mac.

But also in fairness to Mac those 350R brakes are really something else, totally incredible and gutted he had the limiter issues as I am sure he'd have being in the 190-200mph region over the line, one thing for sure if he drops 3.15's in the car so he can hold 5th out longer his car is definetely going 200mph.

The M5 with 800HP managed 202mph and though its got paddles it is heavier than Mac's so I can't see why Mac's also won't do 200mph. Racing the M5 for me was one of my favourite races, he was wheel spinning the first 3 gears resulting in me totally spanking him off the line so much so he did not catch back up until I was at 180mph, in dryer conditions he'd catch up sooner for sure though.

Saying that though the SVR was the king on launching it pretty much demolished everything off the line including the GTR's and 911 Turbo S which are also AWD.
