Yes the 255/40 will be taller than the 285/35. That's why I went with the 245/40 up front. Why?
Aren't the 255/40s taller than a 285/35?
If you are using the stock PP wheels and want to max out the tire sizes, go 275/35 F, 285/35 R. 255, 285 will just make for more understeer and look a bit odd.
is a difference of .2 overall diameter. not enough to have any affect or to be noticeable. Why?

The car already appears to have a reverse rake from the fender design, putting a larger diameter up front would magnify that.is a difference of .2 overall diameter. not enough to have any affect or to be noticeable.
Telling me in that picture above you can see a difference. I doubt you can see a difference with 2 cars side be side. .1 inch taller in the frontThe car already appears to have a reverse rake from the fender design, putting a larger diameter up front would magnify that.
thats a profile shot. i dont think you realize how tiny .1 of an inch is. You do realize the factory tires are not the same diameter front and rear?On a side profile shot, yes, it would look off to me.
Correct, but aren't the rear tires taller though?thats a profile shot. i dont think you realize how tiny .1 of an inch is. You do realize the factory tires are not the same diameter front and rear?

right, most people want the car level. if you want the rake look sure keep with factory sizes. its preference but you wont be able to look at the car and say "oh the front tire is .1 taller."Significantly. 27.7" rear vs 27.1" front. If we're talking about going from stock PP to a 283/35 (26.9") the rear of the car would drop down 0.4"
