Has anyone put a firestone Indy500 285/35/19 on a eco pp 19x9 rim. Want some more width but just soncerned. Firestone says that it should go on a 9.5+wide rim.

Should be fine, it seems they run a tad narrower than the size indicates.

I just put those on my 10" wide wheel and they look exactly the same width as my previous 275 tires I had on there before.

You might get a small amount of bulge, but it will not be dangerous by any means.

I would not put 285/35 on a 9" rim. You won't get the benefits of the extra width unless you have a 9.5" or more. Stick with a 275/40R19, 265/40R19 or even 275/35R19.

You'll not really going to loose anything from running a pinched 285, but ya, I don't think its going to help much (if at all) over a 275 on a street tire with a soft sidewall like the Indy 500.

Yea that's what I meant. It'll just go into bulge and will dull the response of the tire even more.

I guess I’m just going to do the 275/40. According to one calculator the 285 had a diameter that was closer to the stock 255/40 but on Firestone’s site the 255/40 is closer to the 275/35

Just received my Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 Tires. Love them. Have gotten so many compliments on the tread pattern already.

Running 19x10 wheels squared wrapped in 285/35/19 all around.
