I want the impossible and I think it can be done with an adjustable suspension. I want 60' times in the 1.5s but still have a car that is capable of handling around a track. I want to swap tires and make some suspension adjustments and have it hold its own at Auto X or Road Course.
Setup is as follows. Novi 2200 with Vortech BAP, ID1000 injectors, 3.8" pulley, Stock air box, stock headers, MBRP Street Cat Back, Mcleod Aluminum Flywheel and RST Clutch, Shaft Masters Drive Shaft, DSS 800 Axles, BMR SP080 springs, Race Stars with M&H up Front, MT ET Street R 305/45/15. I've tried running the tires @ 16PSI cold, 18, and 26. at 16 PSI I had massive tire shake during burnouts below 6500 and if I tried launching at 4500. If I held the engine around 7K during burnout tires wouldn't shake. Had to leave the line about 6k and sometimes it bogged other times it spun a little. The car makes just under 600 Wheel and I think it can run deep 11s. I just need to figure out a working combination. I'm running 1.8 and 1.9 60' consistently and thought the addition of bias ply tires with lighter wheels and clutch that doesn't slip would bring me deep 11s. Don't know if I need a driver mod or parts mod.

I can pull 1.5's with just bmr stuff, pp2 and slicks. No secret just play with burn out, psi and rpm. My go to recipe is 12 psi COLD, 5k let clutch out as fast as you can and do the burn out until you feel the tires pushing just a bit.

Everything, I went overkill. If price is a issue just get the cradle lock out cb005r. Add spherical bearings, vertical links and either the drag springs or the sp080 if money not a issue and you have a good strip street combo.

Lots of guys with the PP use stocks shocks which work pretty good but I will probably switch mine out for a set of Viking shocks sometime.

More practice. Cars on motor can cut 1.5 60fts. You need more practice. It takes time. Every time I change my setup it takes a while to get used to it.

So are those ET Street R tires a bias ply or a drag radial?

With that trans, you definitely want to use a bias ply. The Hoosier 28x10x17s work great.

With my 2016 GTPP, those Hoosiers on 17's (with 20x10" HRE fronts) and a few BMR parts, I was able to go 1.50s like clockwork at 3 different drag strips. I also tracked the car, it wasnt even close to being a "drag" specific set up.

My best sixty foot was a 1.51 (only made 418whp) on those Hoosier bias plys with 6500rpm launch and our CB005, TCA048 prototypes BK081 and BK051 with hardware upgrade.

We leave at 4500. On the transbrake, but I have been 4600-4700 on the stall, but it went into limp mode when playing with it. Brad told me to move the setting around, but Il'l do that and lauch at 4700 next year. My best time has dropped, but I keep numbers to myself accpet a few friends. Stock suspension, I'll be installing BMR/ Viking stuff over the winter.

BMR rules! I depend on them for my R/T setup, I road warrior my pony. I'd enjoy going to a dragstrip and may try just to see what my 3.55:1 gear will do. Viking shock for the rear is a great improvement.
