I'm projecting the auto with 3.55's/3.15's, and then the manual with 3.55's as the quickest bone stock 1/4mile set ups...

I doubt there is enough different between the 3.55 and 3.73 to matter. I think it will depend on the driver.I'm projecting the auto with 3.55's/3.15's, and then the manual with 3.55's as the quickest bone stock 1/4mile set ups...
Cool thats what i thought,i dont know why some guys are going into 5th.I'm finishing in 4th.
On average it would be a driver's race but given the same driver skill, the 3.55 on stock tire should have the advantage with more traction in first and not having to shift into 5th through the traps, staying in powerband...I doubt there is enough different between the 3.55 and 3.73 to matter. I am staying in 4th but have only run 111.On average it would be a driver's race but given the same driver skill, the 3.55 on stock tire should have the advantage with more traction in first and not having to shift into 5th through the traps, staying in powerband...
Some with 3.73's are saying they can stay in 4th. When I had 3.73's in my 12 gt, I definitely had to shift into 5th. Anything over 112mph, you're going into 5th on stock tune and tire height. Taller drag radials/slicks and 3.73's would be more optimal all else stock.
Track prep and DA are big factors as well. Take it to cecil county or crapital on a cool dry night and you'll find yourself shifting into 5th every time. I have also run a 111 and 113 on the same night before.I am staying in 4th but have only run 111.
Not to busy, track was prepped good ...John stayed later than me .. I left at 8.30...John car was running great, he just needs some sticky tires ...Nice times guys, how was the track tonight? Busy?
Just a couple questions - Should we be removing older posts when we have better subsequent runs and will you be updating the OP with a running list of the top times? Here is the M6G Official S550 Mustang 1/4 Mile Fast List & Leaderboards (V8)
Time to hit the track and post up your 1/4 mile times!
