I just ordered mine yesterday (2-19-18) and my salesman told me 6 weeks, but I really don't think he was aware that PP level 2's are slow to being built. I am on the "Anything S550 2015+ Mustang" group on facebook, and just saw a guy posted that he placed his order for his PP2 in december, and just now got a VIN. Wow. Hopefully Ford speeds up this process.

Good news! Got vin# today for the PP2, going down assembly line in April, estimated delivery, May 4th - 10th.

i like those nittos a lot... ran them on my 700whp 01 cobra. Had a 295 under the rear of it and it drove well, stuck predictably, and had good treadwear for what they were on. I have always had good luck with nitto

Weather will probably drive the build schedule more than anything. With the pilot cup 2's, they'll want to make sure the weather is going to stay warm enough so they don't crack loading on trailer or off trailer.

They aren't supposed to start being delivered in mass until late march-early april. For perspective, the order on my non-PP 2018 was officially placed late-jan, got my vin about a week ago, and estimated delivery date is mid-april

Yeah, I ordered a pretty basic PP2 (301A with Recaros) just for inventory. It's scheduled to be built mid-March, and should be on the ground in April.

Really enjoying this thread! Looking forward to ordering my PP2 Mustang this summer. Does anyone happen to know if the PP2 wheels clear the Ford Performance GT350R brake upgrade kit (Part# M-2300-AA)?

I’d have to think so since the front wheels are super aggressive at ET 24.

PP2 finally on ford website. Wheels look black in picture. mine ordered Dec 12. finally got a build date week of April23.

thanks for all the pics infidex. this really helped me justify my decision when i ordered my PP2. still not the biggest fan of the spoiler, but there's plenty of aftermarket out there. also good to know the tires aren't the greatest in wet. i do plan to DD this thing so i'll have to look at tires sooner rather than later.

Mine will be here about the same time May 4-10th estimated. Royal Crimson, 401A. Will be used more on the track than DD but I am still changing tires, going to buy separate wheels for the Cup 2's and racing.

Look forward to seeing everyone's photos when they start arriving.

Discount Tire has a $70 rebate right now on a set of Michelin tires and another $30 if you use their CC. I'm planning to do the same thing when mine arrives at the end of April. I'm considering if 325/30's will work on the rear instead though...
