Hey.
I was thinking about buying new wheels for next season and was thinking about 20" for my 2015 GT premium.

But the thing is its my daily car, and i got it already lowered for 1 inch with SR springs so its stiffer already and more sporty the confortable.
That is OK for me but to some lvl tbh. The roads here are terrible...

Can you compare the comfort of ride with 19 ad 20 inch wheels?
Is it big difference? Should I rather stay with 19 for daily?

Thanx for opinions and your experience .)

I went from 20" factory wheels with 265/35 tires to 19" wheels with 275/40 tires. I haven't really noticed any difference in ride quality. My car is lowered just under an inch.

Ride, overall grip and acceleration will be better with the 19" of equivalent wheels and tires. They also have the goldilocks effect. Most 20" look too big and begin the donk look. Most 18" look too small and too much tire. 19" is just right with the size of the car and wheel wells. Proportions...

Just got my 20s in the mail from steeda but can't install them until the spring :( really want to drag one outside, put it next to the factory 18 and see how they look

One of my next upgrades (probably in the summer) is a airbag kit.

Are airbags worthless with 20s because there isn't much room left or will I still get use out of it? Never been a fan of coil overs - I'd rather spend a little extra money and just control it from inside the car then to pull each rim, adjust and reinstall.

(sorry if I thread jacked)

I am rocking the Project6gr in a 20x10 front and 20x11 rear with a 275/35/20 and 315/35/20 rear. Comfort is great on the continental extreme contact sport. With a 315 in the rear, traction is some what there. Not a bad choice for comfort and and great looks.

You will not have any issues with ride quality or handling characteristics with the car. You might slightly feel the weight difference on acceleration and in turns but it will not affect anything with the car if you step up to a 20" wheel. I ran many different 20" widths and offsets with tires that were stretched and tires that bubbled over the lip of the wheels. With a minor drop they will look damn good. Here are most of my setups:

There is not a large difference between 19" and 20" fitment, it is noticable that is certain but not death by doing a 20".

Now you can do a nice 20" fitment with good tires with thick profiles and not have a issue.

Most common is

275/35/20 or 285/35/20 front
295/35/20 up to a 315/35/20 rear

On Steeda progressives, MRR FS01 20" wheels, toyo t1r 275/30/20 f and 305/30/20 rears, the ride was actually better than stock on my non-pp GT. You read that right, better than the stock GT with 18's. Crazy. Then I did a whole bunch of other suspension work and now it rides a bit more firm and handles better. I'd throw 21's on the rear if there were more tire choices and I didn't get crucified by the stang community for it lol.

Lol man :)

Anyway, thank you all for replies, i decided myself to go to 20 and we will see.
Sadly i can only get 255/35front and 275/35 or 285/30 rear because i need get TUV approval to ride it legally, here in EU... :/
