With two more oil cooler failures noted on other forums this week (so probably a fraction of the total failing) has anyone identified a reliable aftermarket solution? I’m 10 months off warranty run out and want a long term fix.

2018 RHD cars have a revised cooler.

Hopefully the revision fixes the problem.

Strange as reports say it looks unchanged so the changes must be internal which suggests it would be easy to retrofit.

I’m still pinning my money on the mmr oil take off plate , a remote oil filter and a laminova oil/water cooler. All positioned under the air box as there’s loads of room down there and not much plumbing required.

This worries me more than anything else, especially as my car has not done a lot of miles and likely won't have by the time the warranty expires. As a keeper this should be a good thing, so thanks Ford for making it not...

I am at 18,500 miles, the car still has its original oil cooler, and has functioning air con. Even the puddle lights still work and are original. I have 10 months of warranty left. I love the car, but dont feel confident in its long term build quality. Perhaps thats just 'Fordphobia'? I find myself wondering what to replace it with. I didnt expect to feel this way after just 2 years

Exactly, don’t want to tempt fate, but, I’m on 22.5k and other than puddle lights early on.... the car is running fine..

No oil leaks and ice cold air con.... I’ve changed the oil every 5k miles:)

38k miles, main dealer services, (10k oil changes), no issues (except both puddle lights) It's not the best built car in the world but it's by no means the worst.
Use it, don't let it die in the garage

Good effort:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I did 2000 miles last week:D...including a bloody good thrash over some mountain passes, and a 150+MPH run up the autobahn...

I can’t believe my average for the trip was just over 27MPG:thumbsup::thumbsup::cheers:
