The solution may be simple and relatively inexpensive
Have a look at the oil cooler failure thread on the Australian forum and in particular the post from 12g on May 24
Maybe this observant kiwi has nailed it !

Interesting. Would be good to know what part no they're fitting to the recent failures.

Yes, early failures were replaced with the same part number. Be nice to know if the ‘18 one fits straight on.

It’s the same part number with a later suffix, so it’s the OEM replacement for all RHD S550’s
