So, the 'Ford GT Performance Intake and Calibration Kit gains up to 60 hp (at least at the raised 7500rpm) - is it worth it for £2,750.40 (plus fitting)?
More to the point, what on earth is implied by 'Not permitted on public roads' - if you drive it on public roads you're drinking illegally, or at least voiding the warranty?

not worth it no K&N panel filter + sct + tune or panel filter + ngauge + tune will see you gaining about the same and have a similar top end for under a grand.

its because they don't want to get them certed again for emissions so they sell them for "track use only" that way you can't counter sue ford if you fail emissions due to the kit come MOT time.

I wonder how likely they are to fail an MOT emissions test (even by today's standards) - both the Ford Performance version, or the self-put together one you describe.
