Newbie Questions

Apologies if this is a daft question but I can’t seem to activate the auto locking of the doors on moving off.

I’ve gone through the settings on the car menu but there is nothing there for auto locking. At present I have to manually press the lock button as it doesn’t automatically lock. Am I missing something obvious ?

Also the power folding door mirrors. Is there a way to code these so they automatically fold on locking the car ? I like this feature as it’s a clear visual confirmation that the car is locked

It doesn't have it unless you adapt the car with forscan.

As for the mirrors, i think hdcustoms.pl have a way to do it.

This is how you do it if you've got forscan :

Lock doors on motion

BCM:

Enable: 726-15-01 0101 0101 01

Disable: 726-15-01 0202 0202 02

I have enabled this and I think doors lock when the car reaches 20 kph.

Do you know what's involved with their kit Manders? I was thinking of getting it, I've been looking for a while now how to the mirrors, I'm too lazy to push a button haha

I have no idea what's included in their kit to be honest with you lad. I just saw it and thought it looked cool.

Can this be done on the phone app or do you need the windows version? Is it simple enough to do as it seems a strange thing for them not to lock. My 12 year old mini does it.

Laptop for forscan I think mate as you have to update tables.

What wing mirrors auto fold open/close when lock/unlocking car? They deffo don't on export models. Can't say ive seen you locking or unlocking your car xD!

Thanks for the helpful replies. Looks like I need to invest in Forscan then.

I can live without the folding mirrors but the auto locking on drive off is an issue especially when the wife’s driving with kids in car the extra security is reassuring !

ForScan is free just need time to set up the accounts as you need to post in a noobie section first which you cant do for 24hrs then you need to apply for a licence, there are how to sections on Forscan and on this forum...

this section has loads of mods you can do with forscan and how to guides, also the F150 fourm has loads more too.

Just don’t put foreskin into Google lol
