I really like the look of these and was wondering how they attach, either directly to the window, or are they part of the rear window. If they attach is there a Ford Part number for these?

I think they would look great on any of the vehicles.

I believe you have to be the owner of a 50th Anniversary LE Mustang to be able to order the louvered glass windows.

Ouch that is really expensive, now I am hoping aftermarket can do something similar.

They are acutally the window itself. Ford spent a lot of R&D time dollars to get this layered glass.

and that should be the reason why they should sell These "spare-parts" to anyone who wants them (to get as much Money back as possible) (ask the bean Counters!)

Actually, on ford parts they where listed at 1600$ each and rumor was you had to have a registered le in your name to get them. I don't know that anyone has tested that yet though.

They are the whole glass and plastic and rubber and chrome trim. You would either have to change all your dlo trim to chrome or make the chrome black on these.

I don't think the le was as much about bean counters as making something that couldn't be easily recreated. The unique vin, this, the dash plate etc are all very hard to recreate to build a replica. Even just a certain package option (I think 401a without the reverse park assist to keep rear bumper clean).

After the parts guy at my local Ford dealer looked them up and said they were like $1,500..........A PIECE, I didn't bother asking if you could order them.

Look up cervini...
The 50th rear 1/4 louvered GLASS is not available through anyone except for FORD. It is not currently being replicated by any vendor and was a 1yr only feature, available only on the 1,964 50th Anniversary LE's.

As others have said, the glass is extremely expensive at $1,500.00 a side, so $3k just for glass replacement for "looks" is a non-essential upgrade....

The only other way to get that glass outside of getting it from Ford is IF one of those LE's is wrecked and shows up in a scrap yard... and don't expect that to happen anytime soon, since probably ALL 1,964 LE's have been stashed away in owners garages for future collectibility value.
