Supposed to be a Bullitt at the Houston Auto Show this week. I will see Thursday if that is accurate. Supposedly a Ford GT as well.

Get the dash number if you can. There is one in Philly too. I wonder how many VP numbers there are. Right now we know of 10.

Here are some shots of one off the assembly line. You can see a black one ahead of it in one of the pics. Posted by a member on a local FB group.

Nice!! Awesome to see these on the line! For some reason it makes it feel more real. Still can't believe the new Bullitt exists haha. So if they're building TT cars that means we're halfway to production according to what PP0001 said:
VP- Variable Prototype
TT- Tooling Tryout
PP - Pilot Production
MP - Production

What happens to TT cars?

They give 'em to me :D

Actually, I think what they really do with them might make us cry.....I'm assuming these don't ever get registered......so do they head to the crusher? :(

VP cars they said usually get destroyed, and maybe TTs do too...I know the PP cars survive.

Also, I know I'm antsy and clueless about the timeline from prototype to production, but doesn't it seem early for them to be building all these? Will they really spend over 4 months doing TT and PP cars before regular production is scheduled to start in June?

They might use them for real world longevity testing of the engine mods. I'm sure Ford brass will be lined 5 deep up to drive them around for a few months. And those cars being seen in public also drums up more free publicity from people posting pictures of them.

Since they aren't built at the same rate and are commingled with '18 production, this sounds about right, based on what we've seen from past model year start-ups.

You could probably expect the PP cars to be run in time for a media launch ahead of June production, based on the lead time needed to get to print. They also are probably working on getting the engineering signoff ahead of final production.

This is just my observation from years of watching this.

A couple of thoughts on the hp/octane. In 2008 the Bullitt factory tune adjusted for octane and made the, then 315HP, on 91 octane, but would adjust timing for lower octane fuel. I believe it was unique that year and afterwards Ford made the ecu adjust on other models. It was pioneer in that regards. So, I'm thinking the '19 could make 475-490 on 93 and less on other octanes.

Oh, why not put the glass louvered rear windows in the Bullitt like Ford did with the 50th anniversary numbered cars?

OK so we have seen:
TT004
VP007
VP010

Have we seen others? May be nice to have a lit for a general info on the BULLITT at some point.
