Hi, navair133 - it might good to post your question in the "Issues, Repairs..." subforum.Okay, this is getting crazy. Had to have rear right side brake pads changed due to loud squeaking. Had front pads replaced last week for same louder problem. Now service manage calls and tells me that rears are good but now the fronts are squeaking again. Calls have been made to Ford engineering in Flat Rock and waiting further instructions.
Has no one else had this problem? Or am I just lucky?
We're definitely within driving distances for meet-ups. Take a look at this thread and let me know what you think!Tony, I'm from Evansville.
I look forward to seeing your photos someday! Magnetic with the premier interior option and red looks like a great color combination. There are photos of Magnetic and this interior located here.Tony - great thread and driver's perspective updates on all elements of ownership. Love the color, in and out. Am ordering EB Vert PP, but while I LOVE saddle, I went with redline premier interior to get the premier elements (door surface, complementing inserts, etc.). Do you have any thoughts on the differing interiors premier to regular? Dont think red (its a brick not fire-engine red) will look too bad with this exterior, but wish they would do premier elements with Saddle. Congrats.
Crossing my fingers for you. That's what I would have asked to be done if I had the same issue. Thanks for the subforum info Tony. My dealership is doing all the right things so far. They say if the problem continues they will change all of the rotors and pads. We will see.
This is very promising gas mileage to me. All the best Tony! This tank calculated by hand to 19.8 mpg with the computer showing 20.6. This was a mix of about 45% highway, 55% city driving. I had a 2-hr drive to Lima, OH, and then 2 back during this interval. I saw instantaneous mileage of a high of 28 mpg and a low of 24 on this trip.
I also checked the oil at this fill-up (total mileage is 690 miles). It was full according to the hash marks. I mention this because one of the complaints I saw when the 5.0L was first released for the 2011 GT was oil consumption. Some people were adding 1 qt of oil after only 1000 miles or less.
I plan to change the oil at the normal interval. I know there is a lot of discussion (some of it with religious fervor) about what oil is best, what filter is best, what interval is best; all of this to maximize engine reliability. I've done this on my last 2 Mustangs with no ill effects.
Last thing - highest 1-time RPM blast was to 6000 RPM. Fun.
I can't wait to see your photos! I hope the car is a dream for you!!Tomorrow I FINALLY take delivery.
This is great input for me. We don't get a lot of snow, and I am a bit anxious as to how this powerful RWD car will behave. The wet/snow mode was a big part of my decision to get a premium, and it's good to know it's effective.I felt a measure of confidence that is more than my previous winter driving experiences with my S197 Mustangs. I think the tire package in light snow conditions, with this driving mode, is a solid capability. I'll be trying it again when we have deeper snows.
