Okay, this is getting crazy. Had to have rear right side brake pads changed due to loud squeaking. Had front pads replaced last week for same louder problem. Now service manage calls and tells me that rears are good but now the fronts are squeaking again. Calls have been made to Ford engineering in Flat Rock and waiting further instructions.

Has no one else had this problem? Or am I just lucky?
Hi, navair133 - it might good to post your question in the "Issues, Repairs..." subforum.

I personally have not experienced this on my vehicle. If the sounds are continuing, it sounds like the right diagnosis steps are being taken to address the concern.

Perhaps there is something out of spec in terms of fitment or there is an installation problem.

Tony - great thread and driver's perspective updates on all elements of ownership. Love the color, in and out. Am ordering EB Vert PP, but while I LOVE saddle, I went with redline premier interior to get the premier elements (door surface, complementing inserts, etc.). Do you have any thoughts on the differing interiors premier to regular? Dont think red (its a brick not fire-engine red) will look too bad with this exterior, but wish they would do premier elements with Saddle. Congrats.

I look forward to seeing your photos someday! Magnetic with the premier interior option and red looks like a great color combination. There are photos of Magnetic and this interior located here.

You will appreciate the added "soft touch" upper door panels, along with the rich look of the red color contrast in the seats and center door panel area. I also wish this was available with saddle, but unfortunately it is not.

Good luck with everything.

Thanks for the subforum info Tony. My dealership is doing all the right things so far. They say if the problem continues they will change all of the rotors and pads. We will see.

Crossing my fingers for you. That's what I would have asked to be done if I had the same issue.

THIRD TANK OF GAS - FUEL MILEAGE

This tank calculated by hand to 19.8 mpg with the computer showing 20.6. This was a mix of about 45% highway, 55% city driving. I had a 2-hr drive to Lima, OH, and then 2 back during this interval. I saw instantaneous mileage of a high of 28 mpg and a low of 24 on this trip.

I also checked the oil at this fill-up (total mileage is 690 miles). It was full according to the hash marks. I mention this because one of the complaints I saw when the 5.0L was first released for the 2011 GT was oil consumption. Some people were adding 1 qt of oil after only 1000 miles or less.

I plan to change the oil at the normal interval. I know there is a lot of discussion (some of it with religious fervor) about what oil is best, what filter is best, what interval is best; all of this to maximize engine reliability. I've done this on my last 2 Mustangs with no ill effects.

Last thing - highest 1-time RPM blast was to 6000 RPM. Fun.

This is very promising gas mileage to me. All the best Tony!

Tomorrow I FINALLY take delivery.

My friend at the dealer and I just stared at it for about an hour. She herself bought a Black 50th GT a couple of weeks earlier. She was blown away by how good this color looked. It sparkled in the sun and showed all the contours and shades. By the time I got home an hour away it turned into a deep lead color because the sky was overcast....simply amazing. I was was "escorted" by two Mustangs and a Challenger on the way home...they just hung back and checked out the ride..The interior is a home run!

I felt a measure of confidence that is more than my previous winter driving experiences with my S197 Mustangs. I think the tire package in light snow conditions, with this driving mode, is a solid capability. I'll be trying it again when we have deeper snows.
This is great input for me. We don't get a lot of snow, and I am a bit anxious as to how this powerful RWD car will behave. The wet/snow mode was a big part of my decision to get a premium, and it's good to know it's effective.

Still not sure we are actually going to take it to Boise next week. That looks like a really long haul through some potentially snowy roads. The FWD Lincoln is looking pretty appealing.
