Pretty sure they'll build all the GT350, Bullitts, GT500 and, if it happens, Mach 1s they can.

The only real Limited Edition (as opposed to Special Edition) was the 50th Anniversary LE, which was limited to 1964 examples :)
In 2003 the Mach1 was to be limited to just 7,500 the first year but they ended up building 9,652 due to demand.
If these special editions are going to be priced over 50K I suggest trying what I did in 2003 to get a Mach1. Be patient - wait. In 6 months (Nov 2003) I bought an 03 Mach1 for 5K under sticker from CarMax 'used' (700 miles on odometer). The dealers were sill wanting sticker for their cars. I still have the car.

I wonder what they might throw in to get a higher selling price? Otherwise, why would you spend more than $10-20K or so over sticker? I guess you could write off your taxes anything over the invoice cost, but that's it.
It is a charity auction...with ties to McQueen....50th anniversary of the movie...signed by and maybe delivery with Chad McQueen in attendance...tax deduction...
deep pockets wanting it for their collection will be the bidders and buyers.

Sorry...$10-20k over sticker, no...try $100k-200k over sticker.

A dealerships will make note of that figure...as part of their ADM sales pitch.

A charity auction for the #1 car shouldn’t have any effect on all the others.

For those worried about ADM, the best thing that can happen is the GT500 gets revealed in Detroit too. Way more people excited about those and dealers will know it’s easier to get ADM on them and will focus their “efforts” on those.

Pretty sure the GT500 will be there.

My Mach1s original owner got his 2003 fresh off the truck for xPlan pricing.

There's always a dealer out there selling at MSRP. Might require a trip out of state, but that's not so bad, 2 of the 3 Mustangs I've bought have been out of state. Gotta go where the deals are. I already have an agreement with my dealer (out of state) for at least MSRP, likely X-Plan if it's eligible, plus there's Ford rebates like the $1,500 cash back currently. Shouldn't be hard to get one under sticker.

Matt, cashback deals need to be active at the date of delivery to be applicable.

Yeah, but although the cash back technically ends every month, I thought I saw somewhere that this same rebate will continue until April 8th. Regardless, as the year goes on, the rebates should get better. And it may happen even faster this year if the model year changeover happens much sooner like we've been seeing. It's gonna be harder for dealers to try markups on a 2018 Bullitt model if the 2019 Mustangs arrive a month later and make it an "old" model.
