Hey guys
My dealer has just come yesterday from a Dealers meeting with Ford and he told me what the issue is with all our cars stuck at Holding Yards at the wharves around the country. A batch of 2018 stangs (not the first batch that came here which were ok) have been kept aside to fix a loose clip on the wiring harness which was found on a couple of cars. As a result, all cars currently at wharves/holding yards will be inspected and retro fitted with this clip before releasing to the dealers.
It's very frustrating that a part which probably does not cost more than a few cents is causing such hold ups. Ford has started to release vehicles now and all will be progressively released within the next two weeks.
At least we know it's nothing major, just incredibly frustrating......
