Then Gibbo sells his FRPP springs to me and I seem to have subsequently bought half a car's worth of parts!

Bad man!!! :eyebulge: :paddle: :headbonk:

My excuse is that they colour match the car :ford:

Say it after me:

M6G is bad for my bank balance..

If someone has the video to hand of the animated 'You dont need more mustang parts' video, this is about to be Stigg's and his missus.

Yeah my resolution lasted for less than a week. Just a small cosmetic mod but I have a feeling it's busted the dam open...

It's a Mustang. You have to mod it. It's the law :D
May as well edit that into forum rules 'If your car doesn't get one mod, you will be banned'

I thought I'd got it out of me last time around!

However, the car is built to a budget and to a certain set of parameters to suit your average 'GT' driver.

Thing is, I prefer something a bit more - shall we say, accurate and am happy to pay a few quid for the relevant upgrades.

You only have to look at your average rubber bushing on a Mustang to see why they are setup for comfort, not speed.

All that said, I won't be fitting anything until I've had some time to live with the car as standard to see what really needs doing.

Don't have my car yet (it isn't even built) and I already have bits at home waiting for it. Decklid with US GT arrived in December and full front and rear anchor room tint kit arrived yesterday.

I also spend time nearly everyday looking at other options and if I could have got a Corsa exhaust at the prices Gibbo paid last year during Black Friday I would be ordering that next month! Having said that I am still tempted with a Borla ATAK. I wanted Corsa Extremes but they will just be far too loud for where I live.

I don't think any 2 cars are going to be the same.

Thanks to Gibbo my first mod was his discarded 50 years Pony white cue ball gear knob.

Don't think it will be my last lol.

Re. exhausts - from what I've heard the biggest (and cheapest) difference is a central resonator delete for an H or X pipe. I've got the Ford Racing X pipe coming for this purpose.

I do also have a Roush quad tip valance coming too - so may change the silencer boxes later on. Milltek titanium perhaps? The rear reason is that I don't like the colour coded diffuser on the standard car!

There is no need to mod this car. It looks beautiful and is plenty fast enough!

So how come I have already spent around £3000 on cosmetic changes and plan another £4000 or so on performance?

i've already looked out cosmetic mods.

performance wise, deciding purely on noise at the moment... H/X Pipe or cat/axle back still debating. other would be a CAI and tune. That will be it (so I say!).

Still got a 7 (ha!!) month wait until she arrives.

So by the time she comes you will have:

New steering wheel
New lights (interior)
new lights (exterior)
Parking sensors (front and back if u didn't get them)
Dash cam
Security system on the house
Decals
Gear Knob
Braces and Struts

Oh btw, don't read gibbo's posts he'll make you want to buy all of the mods!

I had to settle on a new house recently without a driveway at the missus insistence (life is full of compromises when your married this young!) so your not too far wrong on the security aspect - might hire a thug also just to make sure :paddle: OR I could turn the second back garden into my Mustang storage spot :gossip:

Scary that you kinda summed up where I feel I will end up going... my only response when the parcels start arriving is that those changes made the current car so much better so I'm just sticking with what i'm familiar with (exception being the steering wheel - current one looks/works fine!) ;)
