DCTMS Carbon Fiber GT350R Steering Wheel

I received my wheel last week! Looks awesome. I wish I didn't just put the car away for winter storage, but it will just be on the big list of things to install come spring time!

Hey 50 Deep, wondering about that CF hood vent, looks pretty sweet, do tell??

Steering Wheel Arrived Today

Wife and I got back from a daytrip to Jacksonville Fla and found my steering wheel has finally arrived. Looks good and will finally be a nice interior upgrade. I was the last one on the group buy list, so I am sure everyone has received theirs by now.

Finished the power upgrades I am doing for now, so time to start thinking and saving towards a lightweight square set-up and dumping those 31 lb boat anchor wheels.

It was fun running 5 laps with the Ford Performance folks on the full 3.5 mile Daytona track, Friday night before the 24 hour race started that Saturday. Never got above 90, but was still cool to be on this world famous track, especially at night. Wife had never been to an international road race or on any track so it was a great experience for her...

Hey 50Deep ......... Will this wheel fit a 2018 GT350R? I had a SVE wheel on my 2017 GT350 and it fit great but will not fit my new car. The airbag notches are bigger and the spring placement is different on the 18. Thanks in advance ....... Dos ;-)

Sounding like these steering wheels will not fit. I bought one from the group buy. I will be attempting to put it on next week when the car arrives. If it does not fit, then I will work with 50deep on what to do next.

I attempted to sand the airbag notches and use different springs without any luck. The cast metal center section of the wheel is different from model year 2017 to 2018. I don't know why Ford would do this for 1 or 2 more model years of this car. I had to sell a great wheel because of it.

I had hopes that the steering wheel would be the same for 18 on the GT350. I dit think anyone foresaw that design change. Best hope is to swap 15-17 MY air bag can be over to the DCTMS wheel assuming the electrical connections are the same.

Not an option for me as I have no 2017 airbag as I do not have one. This is my first GT350 so no extra airbags lying around the house. I assume that DCTMS will start doing a version for MY2018+ at some point. I will just have to wait until they do.

Just got my 2018 GT350 yesterday and this was gonna be my first mod. Glad I checked the last page of this thread. I hope maker will create a 2018+ version.

It might fit a 2018 GT350 ....... I just don't know about that one. All I can say is that it did not fit my R because it uses a different center.

What is the status of the 2018 wheel in this design? Anyone hear of an update?

I reached out via email to DCTMS, Beith and even another local maker who sells on eBay. Nothing from anyone. Apparently no one feels likes making money off of 2018-19 openers.
