I am VERY happy to report that I put pen to paper yesterday on a 100% verified allocation for a 2018 GT350R!! I think some of you know the drama I've been through trying to find a fair deal. I finally found one, and it's a awesome dealership that I trust and I couldn't be happier.

Of course I ordered it exactly the way I wanted it- Lightning Blue with White stripes. I'm so stoked I can't even stand it. Now the waiting game begins.

$5K ADM, unknown production date but the order is in and verified.
Verified by who?

However, this is great news! I'm sure you know this, but the only people who can verify if it's an allocation is the ford rep. Did they give you your sequence in the allocations? If you are number one, then you stand a chance of having your order picked by the rep prior to the winter shut down.

I'm sure you are fine, if your deal is in our area, verify with the dealer who their ford rep is. Then get hold of me.

I am #1 in the sequence, so they THINK I may be getting it in November, but they didn't want to promise anything or get my hopes up.. but I'm ready right now lol.

Just FYI, ford performance can verify an order, they cannot verify an allocation. An order does not necessarily mean it is an allocation. Find out who the dealers rep is and if they are in our area, I may be able to assist. Find out and get hold of me.

I believe total GT350 production rested on how many Voodoo engines Romeo could build. Since the 2015 GT350 was nearly delayed to the point it didn't exist, an "extended" 2015-'17 run into 2018 was devised. MY18 in general, was delayed for the refresh/PDI, it left Romeo with 20,000+ engines to build from 2015 to the '18 350 now. I believe that the short 2015 run and the short 2018 run will compose the total number of GT350's they aimed to produce overall. It was intended to sell for 36 months without changes and that is basically what they got.

Motorsport wasn't in the Romeo contract, thus, after the 2015 Season, the CPC 5.2 was born. I'm not sure if it was just overlooked OR, restrictions on a CPC were more effective than on a FPC... due to the shifting mechanical advantage.

Now, we will see a Gen 2 Voodoo for 2019, '20 and possibly, a grandfathered 2021. The hottest pony car of all time isn't leaving the roster any time soon. This particular model and engine yeah, but the GT350 will continue into the S650, alongside the GT500...

The dealer would likely be able to see it in the computer now if it's scheduled in October or November. Mine was scheduled for September second week of July.

As far as ADMs go, I think it really depends on location to a fair degree.

A local dealer has a stripeless black '17 GT350 on the floor, and has for many months. They started with a $2K ADM, and they are currently $1,870 under sticker. If it were any color but black I'd be tempted to stop in for a chat, but one black car was enough for me....

My area is the land of trucks and SUVs, so it's not terribly surprising to see that nobody has bought it.

The memo states MY17 was a 12 month run...I didn't think that was the case.

Has anyone 'read' into this that MY18 might be the final year?
I think they are right about the 12 month MY17 run. They started MY17 production in June of 2016. My GT350 was serial number 00077 and it was built on July 7th.

I'm thinking it'll be under 20000. MY '16 saw what, a hair under 6000 base cars and 600 R's?
The Rs are pretty easy to figure out. They made 37 in 2015, 500 in 2016 and 1000 in 2017. 1537 R's in total built.

The numbers for the GT350 are a little more challenging. They made 137 in 2015, 5643 in 2016 and lets assume a few more in 2017 due to the longer run. I guesstimate ~7000 in 17. That would give us a total of ~12,780 Standard GT350's.

Grand total of ~14,317 over the run so far.

I put the order and deposit on mine last week. We'll see. They have only gotten 1 350 each model yr - I bought the '16 and now the '18. Might not be spring though if they are low on the list for their allocation to be accepted.

you have to have the right numbers to get a goo estimate. 2016, 526 R's

Does the shorter production run mean 2018 is the last year for GT350?

I'm sure this merely part of the phase out of production plan, but I think too, they are making room in the market for a fairly expensive "Performance Package Level 2" aka "Track Package." I am waiting for those specs to come out in December before I make my decision on what GT Mustang to get. I am still on the assumption the PP2 is to compete with the Camaro SS 1LE (or higher? Z/28?).

Manual only, cloth Recaros, larger bespoke wheels...and all or more of the PP1 bits. I suspect it'll be a really cool car (even without the quicker A10 trans).

My guess is now, if they kept GT350 production going, buyers would seek to find the extra cash for the Shelby over the PP2 car...which I'm guessing will be between $45-50K range. I hope I'm wrong there.
