I have had a bunch of mustangs but never a shelby. I'm at the point that i am going to be ready to look for a 13 - 14 GT500 late 2017 - early 2018. I was wondering if i could get any insight as to the durability or the engines and the cars themselves. Like any known issues they have or tips for a potential new owner? i plan on lightly modding it. Lund Tune, a little smaller upper pulley, larger TB and larger idler pulleys. Thank you for any info you are willing to give. :headbang:

Don't over-rev the engine with the stock connecting rods.

My 07 put down 1200/1200 for three years without any failures.

i never like revving over the stock limiter one a stock engine. Even on my 11 and 16 5.0 i asked lund to only go 500 rpm over the stock limiter.

Wow! Did it go kaboom into the 4th year or did you sell it?

I sold it, bought a '13 Viper and now the Viper is for sale and I am hoping to get back into another Mustang.

An '18/'19 S550 TT convertible would be fun...
