The Puma BMW/Goodyear shoes I wear are skinny but super flexible and I use like the side of my heel to hit the gas.

It's funny, I've never heel-toed a car before. My style, in all my previous cars, has been left half of foot on brake, roll over my right half and use that for throttle.

That does NOT work for this car. I have to do a proper heel-toe on this car.

It's not bad. A lot easier than the Camaros.

Occasionally my ankle doesn't want it to happen. I made the stupid mistake of texting and walking down the stairs and I made the "last" step about 3 steps early. Had to be my right foot of course.

As others have already noted, the width of the shoe will make a big difference.
On the track, when braking hard, the pedal alignment is near perfect. On the street, you just need to get used to the slight angle required.
It DOES get much easier with practice. I recall thinking it was going to be impossible when I first got the car, now it just happens, all day, everyday, smooth as silk (footwear permitting)

I test drove a PP1 saturday. The pedals position is fairly good for me. Within a few minutes i was very comfortable with heal toe. You shouldnt have a problem with it.
I clutch feels really light. Very similar to my simulator pedal.

I am probably thinking its harder because I am not braking hard enough on the street .
For sure, so much easier when at the track or auto-x.

A wider (steeda) pedal solved it for me, although sometimes (rarely) I have stabbed for the brakes at an event and grab a bit of gas pedal. Shoes factor in too.
Totally agree. The pedal(s) made a huge difference for me as well.

I wear sneakers and not driving shoes. Works great :)
I have a set of Puma's now but I miss my old Onitsuka Tigers (Yes, I'm old).

I bought a wider gas pedal and now I have no problems, but I found it difficult to heel/toe with the stock pedals. The initial bite on our brakes is strong enough that on the street I have to be very gentle with them. It might have been easier on track with the stock pedals, but I like to practice heel/toe all the time so that it becomes natural for me.

Since this thread revived some, my update is ...

Yes, on the track , when you brake , it is easy to heel toe. Hard to do on the street without braking like a jackass ;)

Everybody is different but it's not too bad for me. On the street it's a little awkward but when you're out on track and slamming down on the brakes, it's pretty easy. Some people like pedal extensions but we all have different size feet. I personally haven't found the need to modify my pedals.

I agree. It's a bit tricky on the street with relatively small amounts of brake & throttle, but I have no trouble at the track.
