Transmission fluid whoa

Just bought some transmission fluid service using Amsoil from one of the local reps only to find out he doesn't have the machine necessary to do the swap. Is Ford the only place you can do transmission fluid swaps at? The price quoted just to use the machine is ridiculous.

Find a mustang or performance shop, they should be able to do it.

This phrase seems peculiar. Do you mean you bought fluid or do you mean you bought a procedure?

If you're changing the tranny fluid, you don't need a machine; just a big syringe (or an inexpensive manual pump of some sort) and a container for drainage. Warm up the tranny...raise the car...remove the fill & drain plugs (in that order) and away you go.

Any shop with a fluid exchanging machine would be able to do it but finding one to use your fluid may be difficult due to the fact that the exchange machine would have what ever the shop uses, fluid in it.
