Just been doing some experiments at home making an effective faraday cage

1. Keys in tinfoil - fail
2. Keys in a aluminium box 1.5mm thick - fail
3. keys in aluminium box lined with tinfoil - fail
4. Keys in aluminium box lined with tinfoil inside larger steel box 2mm thick - success at all ranges
5. keys in large 2mm steel box - fail
6. Big steering lock- I had one of those on my Austin Allegro (first car)
