What's happened to him then?

I know he got banned for having a pop at Manders but I thought it was only for a couple of weeks?

Looking at his posts it still says banned...? :shrug:

It was a permanent ban in the end. I do have his contact details actually but haven't heard from him since all the drama...

Lolz...a permanent ban?! What else happened then? I barely saw what caused the 2 week ban.

Shame....George had lots of good banter..... The UK forum could do with a few more like him

Thats only based on what you know, not all the facts.

Agree its a real shame as he really is a character and a real nice guy but rules are rules and most of us can abide by them.

But sometimes people can be Bullied and Victimized, when they are 100% Innocent
If your face don't fit, then you are gone, simply as that
but if you agree to the rules then you must stick to them
the problem is when you don't break the rules

As mentioned previously we don't know the full facts; what went on in private away from the public forum. All we know is what was posted and one episode is still as clear as day in my memory, as unusually I was watching it unfold. Cringeworthy, ill-advised provocation, and in a world where justice has to be seen to be done apparently this is ok.
However the Internet is an ugly place and it's only rules such as we live by that make this forum worth visiting. I somehow doubt this has ruined George's life. In my opinion its our loss.

Agree with that bit and the Scotland trips are the best I have been on. Just brilliant!

Agree, our loss and missing the great Scottish trips.

As others have said, I don't know the full story but I certainly miss George and the group that left with him.

Today, I've just used one of George's 'experiences' with his Mustang to pass on advice about water leaks.

I don't know what happened, but I do know, how if your face don't fit and you upset the "wrong people" then you are made a target
Now of course in this instance he might have deserved a ban
But am surprised that if you were friends with this person, you don't have any personal details like email or phone number?
I have 10 people from the "club" I was banned from, 5 have written me letters stating that I was in their opinion treated badly.
And a few of these people certain people would be very surprised who they are,

But as I said, in this instance maybe it was deserved?
Sometimes people just don't like each other, it's so easy for ego's to get bruised, people to rub someone up the wrong way. We are a very ego driven society where people will give you the eyes, for even walking on the same pavement as them, Respect and Decency is in very short supply, and if like with me one is Admin, your days are pretty much numbered

Larry.....I suggest you just leave this. This thread is NOT about you or what happened on another forum.

Yes, rules are rules and if they are not followed, then members will be removed. It really is that simple.
