I remote start my car from more than 100 Yards away. Sometimes there are other cars in the way but it still works.

Jeeze, I was just able to open my trunk, as if the fob was in my pocket, when it was at least 60 feet away inside my work.

I'm assuming that means the car can be started and the doors can be opened.
...

Are you sure you don't have another key in the car?

The proximity sensor on these cars is pretty small. If i take 2 steps backwards and my fiancee tries to open the car, it won't.

There was a situation on the RS forum a while back where a guy was having this same issue. Turns out his buddy hid one of his spare keys inside the car.

I can confirm the 2016 fob for remote starting works from 7 stories up and 1 block away... no BS.

How can the signal be stolen from a key FOB if the button isn't being pushed? If the key fob was constantly transmitting, the battery wouldn't last very long would it?. I never press the unlock button, I just go straight for the door handle. I also have the anti theft device known as a clutch and manual shifter.
