I’m surprised someone hasn’t done a comparison yet. At least SS 1LE vs Non-R GT350. They need to be driven by the same driver on the same day under similar conditions for the lap times to really mean anything.
I think that would be a good head-2-head. Same with a GT350TP vs C7 base since they are roughly the same price.

On the Big Willow lap time they are tied. The GT350R is prob a little faster IMO. But the 1LE being that close is pretty impressive.
Those werent on the same day.

Over on the Camaro6 forum some people are being pretty honest about just how.brutal the ride of the 1LE is. They say for very smooth roads only......

I'm sorry but i don't totally agree with this. by that statement i could say a honda civic could match the gt350r around track and there's no way to dispute it cause they were never tested on the same track same driver same day. obviously this is an extreme example but the 1le is within 2 seconds of the r out of i believe 2 different tracks time i saw so to saw it could best a gt350 is a very good possibility

"Regular" 1LE or ZR1 1LE which has a lot of "racing" level parts instead of rubber?

If you don't mind compromising and down grading on looks, sound, and overall utility in the regular use of the car (blind spots, trunk size, rear seat room, interior layout), then the 1LE is probably the way to go.
Emphasis on looks. I would be driving a Camaro right now if it weren't for the fact that I think it is one of the ugliest sports cars out there.

LoL @ my iPhone autocorrecting Camaro to Campari. Man, now I want a negroni.

They’re more so talking about the ZL1 1LE

The ss 1LE magnetic ride can be set to touring making the ride more daily friendly.

That is your opinion, I feel the camaro looks just as good. Looks are subjective.
Not that I really care but I’ve gotten way more attention and compliments about my camaro than I ever did in an of my mustangs.

Changing wheels and tires can rectify this and keep the originals for the track. But they never track it so... The only problem is the visibility and sure you get used to it but it always happens that you are at the mall and some truck blocks the way and you have to make a tight unfamiliar maneuver and you climb a curb and hear that sickening scraping of metal as you try to ease it back down without doing more damage. Then you park it up the road, cross your fingers and check out the damage while you swear up a storm. Check underneath the front bumper of any Corvette for more fun times - but I digress. Crawl under any of these Camaros with some miles on them and the truth will be there for all to see. Don’t ask me how I know. ;)

Of course looks are a matter of opinion. Just stating mine. It just seems to be a popular opinion I hear a lot, and I am not talking about on this forum.

I would jump on the 1LE.

Had a 2015 that a bad driver hit... I miss that car. The 6th gen is even better with adjustable magnaride, tremec transmission, brembos both front and rear....
The visability I think is different per person just like what constitutes harsh ride. I drove a 6th gen 1le for a few days and man that car is better than the 5th gen 1LE.

I'm interested to see what the pp2 in the 18 is like though. But the 1LE is right in front of you at a great price, I dont think you can go wrong.

Honestly I could have 0 trunk or rear seats and I'd be fine. All the storage I need is a passenger seat to hold my work bag.

Never thought about christening the Camaro with the girlfriend. In the olden day fox bodies you could do it diagonal with the back seat down and the front seats tilted forward. Has anyone done the Nasty good and proper in a Camaro? Is that flip down back seat room enough. Enquiringly minds want to know?

Nah I like to keep my money mine :-) Otherwise I'd be stuck still driving Escort level cars.

Then again a 2400lb car with 170whp is fun and gocart like.
