Engine Bay/Painted engine cover picture thread

Posted this in the Ruby Red section but since this thread is dedicated to the engine bay/engine covers I'll post it here as well.

i like the idea, but not sure what colors i would do with mine....
i have a CO with a metallic black roof wrap.....

Is the STB painted or powder coated? If you don't mind me asking, what did that set you back?

Ruby Red requires two different cans of red due to the color type so it cost more, plus a can of clearcoat. If you painting plastics you'll also need a can of adhesive promoter.
This is what I used and their paint matches really well:

hope this pic posts... I fully repainted the engine bay and the rest of it after a front collision at Road America. I had to replace everything in front of the strut towers. 5 different body shops wouldn't touch it. I wanted to finish my racing season with Optima's USCA so I got cracking>>>

Would like to wake this thread up!!! I am looking at some color matched engine bay parts. Trying to see how much color match is too much. Is there another engine bay thread?

Show them dressed up engine bays...

Here's mine. Engine cover, coil covers, radiator support cover, strut brace bar, and strut tower covers all done by JLT

This is mine, very simple atm. no longer has the sound tube.

The "football" has been painted black with Plastidip after these pics were taken..

To this day, 2 years and 3 months later, I'm still wondering where. I assumed Hydrodipped, but I'd called a few places and they had no clue what I was asking for them to do.

Maybe [MENTION=15812]CTH621[/MENTION] will finally see my cry for help. :lol:
